Hood County Courthouse — Slidell, LA — Hickman Roofing

Hood County Courthouse

One of the most extensive historical restorations we have had the pleasure of completing. Located on the square in Granbury, Texas, Hickman roofers installed this beautiful roofing system for the Hood County Courthouse. Our roofers installed architectural sheet metal while also utilizing hand-fabricated zinc diamond panels, zinc fishscale panels, and lead coated copper water tables, hips, ridge and trim system. From the demolition of several layers of roofing and asbestos abatement to finishing the brass rails on the top of the widow's walk, this project was one of our most comprehensive projects to date.

The historic Cabildo Museum in NOLA underwent complete reconstruction after a 1988 fire. Our owner, Luther Hickman, lead the way under Nationwide, of restoration with a slate, clay tile, and architectural sheet metal with beautiful slate and copper roof.

Black Hills Roundhouse — Slidell, LA — Hickman Roofing

Black Hills Roundhouse

The Black Hills Roundhouse was the first railroad and depot in South Dakota responsible for transporting timber and materials for the Homestake Mining Company during the Black Hills Gold Rush. Hickman Roofing working along with Whitley's area-wide construction, serviced a full roof replacement with asphalt shingle roofing.
